From EVERY Angle

I was trying to find a recent, good picture of Sydney. One did not exist. It has recently occured to me that I used to have a lot more time. More time to take pictures. More time to blog obviously. I think I have about 10 million pictures of Liam before he was 1 years old. Poor second child of mine. To be fair, I recently got an iphone and find myself using it to take quit a few pictures. I guess once you have two kids running around, it just isnt as easy to pull out a huge SLR camera. Anyways, I immediatsly pulled out my camera and tried to snap some good ones of her. I needed one for her birthday party invitation. The photos insued...

I have since came to one conclusion. My daughter is beautiful from EVERY angle! I really should take more pictures!

The Post Where I Try To Make Up For Not Blogging For A Month...

Big things are happening at our house. Miss Sydney Kate is getting so big! Any minute now Sydney is going to be walking and at any given moment she might have a mouth full of teeth. For document sake, Sydney took her first steps (two to be exact) on July 19th. I am so proud of her! We were hanging out in the living room, I looked over at her, standing independently, and she took two steps toward me before falling down. Since then, Sydney has taken a few steps here and there but I wouldn't call her a walker yet...but soon. I tried to catch her on video but of course she refuses to cooperate.

At least you can see what she looked like on the day she took her first steps. Isn't she a doll? I love her so much. She currently has one tooth and is clearly working on more. She was a horrible fussy mess today which is completely unlike her. I am sure she is in pain and that kills me. I hope it is all downhill from here. Hopefully it will be a quick process.
Liam has also had a big break through. Two weeks ago Liam completed four weeks of swim lessons. He went from crying about getting in the pool the first day, to being able to swim confidently the last day. I wouldn't say Liam is ready for the Olympics yet, but he is totally a different kid in the water. I am so proud of him! Everything was really put in perspective last week when Liam jumped off the diving board at our community pool! I think I about had a heart attack. Liam was insistent that he could and would do it. The life guards wouldn't allow me to be in the water for him to jump to. Nobody was allowed in the deep end. Liam had to jump off the 5 foot tall board into 11 feet of water and then swim about 15 feet to the side of the pool and get out on his own. HE DID IT!!!! Swim lessons were obviously worth every penny! Thanks Gigi! I am so happy that Liam will be able to fully enjoy his time in the water. I for one love the water. I love the ocean. I love to swim. I am so glad that Liam will be able to share this love with me. Unfortunately I am too afraid to take my good camera or Iphone too close to water so I don't have any documentation of Liam the fish. I do however have two stellar pictures of Liam that I think really document his personality.Liam watching T.V.

He told me he "plays better" when he wears his cape.
My kids are the best. I love them so dearly.

The Toothfairy, Sea World, and the toe sucking baby...

Liam said the funniest thing to me tonight. I knew instantly that I had to blog it before I fogot it. I have always told Liam that if he doesn't brush his teeth that they will fall out. In the past, this has always horrified Liam. In fact, I have put Liam in his bed crying because he didn't want to go to bed and was throwing a fit without brushing his teeth before. Liam then became no longer upset about going to bed, but about his teeth potentially falling out. Horrified! Tonight was different however. Tonight when I told Liam it was time to brush his teeth he asked me quite seriously and politley if perhaps we could skip it tonight. This puzzeled me. "Why wouldn't you want to brush your teeth Liam?" Without skipping a beat..."Because if I don't brush my teeth, they might fall out, and then the toothfairy would come! She never comes when I brush my teeth. I need some cash money." Pure awesomeness. This child is willing to sell his teeth. I have a feeling I have a future millionaire on my hands. (And not just because I am going to win the lottery...possibly tomorrow.)I guess my threat is no longer good to him. Apparently I need to start discussing with him that money is not everything and that having teeth is pretty awesome. In fact, it has been my recent experience that good teeth cost a lot of money. Irony in this case. Anyways, future Liam I hope you have both beautiful teeth and money. And I hope that the "Tobler Toothfairy" can deliever, because I have a feeling Liam might be disappointed what I might value a tooth at. :)
A few more Australia pictures...I have an endless supply...

Memorial Day Weekend and Such...

Liam and his oldest friend, Camryn relaxing at the Cheney House.

My pretty little lady her first Memorial Day.

We had a pretty rocking Memorial Day weekend. Saturday Bill and Liam had a "Daddy Date" to see Kung Fu Panda 2 while Sydney and I strolled around the Soutlake Town Center. I think Bill was more excited than Liam! Sydney was such a little rock star. We couldn't walk 4 feet without being stopped by an admirer. Sunday we spent the day at the Cheney Lake House. It was marvelous as per usual. Monday we hung out at the neighborhood pool. All in all, it was a pretty great, relaxing weekend and we were sad that Daddy had to go back to work Tuesday. I can't wait to win that lottery! It will be so marvelous to always have him home with us! ;)

I've Been Naughty...

I am going to stop being naughty. I am going to blog more, I promise! We went to Australia and saw my family. It was great, but went too fast. The plane ride was awful and I now hate QANTAS. NEVER FLY QANTAS. My little brother Jared married a lovely girl named Bec. We all still can't believe he got that lucky. Bec rocks our socks off. I photographed their wedding, Bill was a groomsman, Liam was a ring bearer, and little Sydney was pulled up the isle in wagon. It was a fun wedding and I think I got some decent shots. While in Australia Bill and I also renewed our vows with my family there, and then went on a little honeymoon to Ballina, NSW, Australia. It was great to get away alone but so strange to be away from our kiddos. We also went to Sea World, the beach a few times, Movie World, and to Lone Pine Sanctuary to feed kangaroos. It was marvelous getting to spend time with my family. I love that Liam is going to have memories of going to my parents house. I also got to see my siblings who I am always missing and meet my neice Savannah for the first time...she is 3, so it was about time!
Time has been flying as per usual, and my kids are getting huge. The little lady in my life is starting to babble, pull up, and is crawling all over the place. Sydney will be 9 months on the 1st of this month. Liam is thrilled to have somewhat of a playmate.
I will be blogging a lot more in the coming months so for now I just need to catch up on some pictures.

I have to cut it off there. I have a million more photos that I want to share but my scrapbooks are calling my name. I must say though, wasn't Bec a beautiful bride?! Didn't my brother look dashing?! Aren't Bill and Liam so handsome?! Is my sister Davia not stunning in that red dress coming down the isle?! How hot is Phylene with her hair all pretty?! Is Sydney not ridiculously cute?! Is my mother not so fabulously naughty feeding my children ice cream...in bed...to my 8 month old?! How sweet is that photo of my Dad fishing with his son/my brother Jack, with Bill fishing with our son Liam in the background?! Are my niece and nephew not precious? And finaly, how precious is that photo of my cousin Roxann and her boyfriend?! Do I not over use the non question?!
